Quantum Designs
This is a logo design I worked on for the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success. The sticker design itself is for Quantum Careers, which is a branch of the Student Success office and features Career Coaching for students looking into quantum-focused careers. A very simple brief was given for this design, involving ideas of the AYCSS Tie Cat featured under a starry night sky in the mountains; among the stars are various symbols associated with quantum.
I took various elements present in the sticker design for the subsequent t-shirt design. The brief involved placing the tie cat in a rocket ship and to find inspiration in 1950s and 1960s art elements. To get this retro feel, I used the bold sans-serif typeface Aero and placed a thin, off-centered white outline around the rocket ship and the tie cat. There was a slight update to the quantum symbol, but the other elements of the night sky were taken directly from the sticker.
